Description


The CE8875-24BQ8DQ is a top-of-the-line, high-density, and high-end box switch in Huawei's CloudEngine data center series. It is positioned in the Super Leaf or high-performance core position of ultra-large-scale data centers, specifically designed to meet the strict requirements of extreme bandwidth, ultra-low latency and zero packet loss in scenarios such as AI computing clusters, high-performance computing and fully lossless storage networks. It can be regarded as the performance king of the box switch form.

This Huawei Network Switch is equipped with 24 400GbE QSFP-DD ports: this is its core. All ports can be used for 400G and can be directly connected to the latest AI servers (such as 8-card H800/A800 GPU servers, which usually provide 8 400G interfaces after NVLink bridging) or high-speed storage.

8 800GbE QSFP-DD ports: for uplink interconnection or cluster lateral expansion. This is currently the top commercial port rate in the industry. Multiple CE8875 can be interconnected via the 800G port to build a larger-scale Clos Fabric, or upstream to more core devices. This configuration endows it with the switching capability of a "quasi-core".

Port flexibility: These high-speed ports also support backward compatibility and splitting. For instance, a 400G port can be split into four 100G ports, but on such high-end devices, native high speeds are usually directly utilized to achieve the best performance.

This Huawei Network Switch offers a switching capacity of 51.2 Tbps, and all ports support full-line-speed forwarding.

Adopting the latest generation of chips and architectures to achieve nanosecond-level ultra-low latency is crucial for reducing the communication overhead of distributed computing in AI training
