ET1D2SFUA000 is Switch Fabric Unit A for Huawei S12700 series modular switches, serving as the core data switching plane of S12704, S12708 and S12712 chassis models (not compatible with S12710).Equipped with switching chip, local clock and power supply module, it features 512MB memory and 64MB Flash, with maximum power consumption of 83W and weight of 3.32kg. The board supports hot swapping, load balancing and automatic traffic switchover among multiple fabric units to guarantee non-blocking line-rate forwarding across the whole chassis.It can be installed with EH1D2VS08000 cluster subcard to provide 8×10G SFP+ cluster ports for CSS (Cluster Switch System) virtualization. When deployed with multiple SFUA boards, traffic will be automatically migrated to healthy fabric units upon single board failure, significantly improving system reliability, and delivering high-speed cross-board data forwarding for campus and data center core switches.
ET1D2SFUB000 is the high-performance Switch Fabric Unit B for Huawei S12700 series modular switches, compatible with S12704, S12708 and S12712 chassis, serving as the core data switching plane to deliver non-blocking line-rate cross-board forwarding channels for the whole system.This board integrates switching chip, local clock and power supply module with maximum power consumption of 186.3W. It supports hot swap, fabric load balancing and automatic traffic failover to guarantee high network reliability. It can be equipped with EH1D2VS08000 cluster subcard to provide 8×10G SFP+ cluster ports for CSS (Cluster Switch System) virtualization.Compared with SFUA unit, SFUB features larger switching capacity and higher forwarding bandwidth, ideal for high-throughput scenarios including dense 10G/40G optical ports, large campus core and data center network. Parallel deployment of multiple SFUB boards improves overall system throughput and hardware redundancy.
ET1D2SFUC000 is mid-range high-performance Switch Fabric Unit C for Huawei S12700 series modular switches, compatible only with S12704 and S12708 chassis. It acts as the core system data plane, providing non-blocking line-rate cross-board switching channels for all service line cards.This board integrates switching chip, local clock and power supply module, supporting hot swap, fabric load balancing and automatic traffic failover upon single unit failure. It supports EH1D2VS08000 cluster subcard installation to expand 8×10G SFP+ cluster ports for CSS (Cluster Switch System) virtualization of multiple S12700 devices.In terms of performance, it ranks between SFUA standard fabric and SFUB high-end fabric unit, with larger switching capacity and forwarding bandwidth than SFUA but lower than SFUB. It features moderate power consumption and balanced cost & throughput performance, ideal for S12704 small core and S12708 medium-scale campus networks with mixed GE & limited 10GE ports and medium-concurrency traffic.
